Our Mission

The Script Factory is a training and development organisation which places screenwriters at the heart of the European film industry by acting as the link between writers and industry.
The Script Factory has a reputation for finding and promoting new screenwriting talent and for devising creative ways to showcase and present new screenwriters and their work, by designing innovative, accessible, and enjoyable events, courses and materials, to support writers in their journey through the industry, and assist the industry in identifying new talent. It also attracts a loyal following of cinema enthusiasts who relish the chance to get a glimpse behind the scenes of how films are made.

Partnerships
While it’s based in London, The Script Factory has a strong commitment to expanding its unique brand of script development nationally and internationally, in a bid to uncover new screenwriting talent. Regional, national, and international partners during the past two years have included the UK FILM COUNCIL, Scottish Screen, and SGRIN Wales, as well as a number of Regional Screen Agencies including Screen East and Screen West Midlands, Glasgow Cineworks, Liverpool's Moving Image Development Agency, Ateliers du cinema europeen, North By North West, and the London, Rotterdam, Gothenburg, Edinburgh, Rio and Berlin International Film Festivals.

Awards & Competitions
The Script Factory frequently co-ordinates, manages and partners a range of national screenwriting awards including the Orange Prize for Screenwriting & The Pathe Production Prize, the First Draft Scheme in association with DNA films, and the Mirage/ Intermedia Urban Comedy Competition.
