Screenwriters' Masterclass: Screenwriters Discuss Their Greatest Films is a brand new Faber book in which author Kevin Conroy Scott has interviewed some of the world's most celebrated screenwriters including Alexander Payne & Jim Taylor, Wes Anderson, Guillermo Arriaga, François Ozon and Michael Haneke.
For The Script Factory, together with our partners at the National Film & TV School and Curzon Soho, Scott has arranged an entertaining tour of his book, putting across the view that writing comes from the inside, thus making his opinions the antithesis of screenwriting guru Robert McKee while expounding on a list of Screenwriting Do’s and Dont’s and humorously covering topics such as 'Self-doubt and the Screenwriter'. Kevin hopes to be joined by a special guest speaker - one of the subjects of his book - who wil analyse scenes from one of their films. With a chance for audience Q&A and a wealth of illustrational clips, this Screenwriter's Masterclass looks set to be just what every screenwriter needs.

David O Russell - just one of the star names who joined us for SCENE London 2004PRAISE FOR THE BOOK:
‘Talking through their greatest scripts, the cream of the ‘prestige indies’ are brutal, frank and funny about their experiences of the Hollywood machine … for wannabe scriptwriter – or just plain enthusiasts – this is an interesting, illuminating and diverse series of chats with some of the best typewriter tappers in the biz.’
