Aine Parkinson

"I started my career, in 2000 working at Sheffield Independent Film as an Administrative Assistant which brought me into contact with various filmmakers whom I worked for in many roles, including financial and on-set production. Working at SIF I became involved in the First Light Scheme as a Production Assistant.

In 2003 I moved to Ireland where I co-managed my own business which gave me vital experience both budgetary and administrative. Returning to England I continued pursuing a role in Production working with SHIFT media providing production and administrative support to the students and their films."

In 2007 I produced Joe Morris’ student film, Confirmation Day. I am currently working for MASH Production who produce a high-turn over of corporate films. This experience has provided me with organisational and problem solving skills.

Production is a definitive part of my life and I find personal and professional pleasure from it.

For the 2008 Digital Shorts Scheme Aine is producing the drama Perv

Ed hates being a paedophile but is made to face it by 12 year-old Ryan. Finding solace in his work as a park-keeper, Ed returns to an unhappy family life where he struggles against his feelings. Ashamed but unrelieved by his fantasies Ed makes a decision to pursue Ryan to school but misses him when an old friend spots him. When Ed sees Ryan walking through his park he follows him. Ed cannot act and Ryan suddenly knows what he wants and confronts Ed as a ‘Perv’; once again being left to deal with his feelings, frustrated, guilty and alone.
