Peter Snowdon

Peter Snowdon was born in Northumberland, England, in 1964. He has lived and worked in France, Egypt, India and Belgium. He began making low-budget political documentary films in 2000.
In 2007, he won two prizes – the main prize at the Oblò Underground Short Film Festival (Lausanne, Switzerland) for two thousand walls (a song for jayyous) , an experimental documentary shot in the occupied Palestinian territories; and Northern Film and Media’s Sound and Vision production award for his one-minute drama Breather, set to music by Paul Miskin.
Peter and Paul are currently working on the follow-up to Breather, working title Bewick’s Mambo, which is scheduled to shoot in early March.

A man falls in love with a washing machine.
He takes her home, but it turns out they have different plans.
When he realises their relationship is doomed, he seeks solace in nature.
This is a slight improvement over seeking happiness with a washing machine – but only a slight improvement…
