Digi Shorts

Iain Finlay

Iain Studied Contemporary Arts at Nottingham Trent University, progressing from installation-based work to narrative video and film. After graduating, he secured his first funded project through the UK Film Council’s Digital Shorts scheme and made Number 54, which screened at various film festivals and was short-listed for BBC Talent’s New Filmmaker Award. Recent projects have included Lightheaded (music video) for odD and EPK projects for Anton Corbijn’s Control and Simon Ellis’ Cinema Extreme short Soft, and camera operating on a Shane Meadows documentary 8th Vein. Currently, Iain is finishing a music video for Pilgrim Fathers and developing more short-form narrative and music-based work.
 
Iain has been selected onto the Digital Shorts scheme by EM-Media and will be working with producer Rachel Dargavel and Writer Richard House on the project Wintering
 
A woman witnesses a man setting fire to clothes on a beach. She follows him and watches him as he engages in more acts of destruction. The man’s actions become increasingly extreme and bizarre, until, through her intervention. He is stopped.
