GETTING THE CAST
Before you can do any directing, you have to assemble the best possible cast. To do this well, you have to know both the etiquette of casting, and how to get the most out of a casting session, an audition or an acting workshop.
This session invites a panel to give an insightful overview into the process of casting and includes contribution from:
- A casting director
- An actor’s agent
- A range of actors

Natalie Press, My Summer Of LoveSession 2 - 2–5.30pm
ACTING WORKSHOP
Participants will be invited in advance to bring scenes or situations that they would like to workshop in a session led by an experienced director. Working in groups of 5 directors with 2/3 actors per group, each director will have 30 minutes to get some intense input from the actors, on a scene or a situation.
(Please note – the actors will not be able to see the full script or the extract in advance of the workshop, and any preparation will be done with the whole group – i.e. if you want them to read a scene please be aware that the first time they do it will be in front of the group).
Session 4 - 5.30–6pm
