Session 1 - 11am–1pm
INTRODUCING THE PROJECTS & PRODUCER RESPONSIBILITIES
This session is an opportunity for producer Rachel Robey to introduce her work, and for the Digital Shorts producers (both new and experienced) to introduce their projects and raise any areas of concern they have. This session will also cover the key aspects of the producer’s responsibilities, such as on contract completion, clearances and deliverables as well as good practice in creative collaborative working.
Session 2 - 1–2.30pm
WORKING LUNCH – BUDGETS & SCHEDULING
Producers with specific questions relating to their film’s budgets and schedules will have the opportunity to do so with the lead Producer during a working lunch (lunch provided for the Producers who participate).
Session 3 - 2.30–4pm
LOCATIONS
Paul Howard, Locations Consultant for Film London explores how to secure locations, issues arising from certain types of locations, common problems, trouble-shooting, and suggests a creative approach to location scouting on a micro budget.
Session 3 - 4.15–6pm
DISTRIBUTION, FESTIVAL STRATEGIES & ON-LINE PLATFORMS
Exhibition specialist guest speaker Claire Spencer Cook discusses the practical aspects of what to do when the film is finished.
