Al Mackay
Al studied Media and Politics at Demontfort University, directing his first documentary and music video while studying. After graduating Al was selected to be part of EM Media’s Graduate Training scheme in Media Entrepreneurship and Employability. This culminated in a work placement with Warp Films where Al shot the EPK for This Is England. Al has worked within the Film industry for the past 4 years gaining experience in all areas of film production as well as directing numerous music videos. Bale was Al’s first short film, supported by the UK Film Council after being awarded Completion Funding. Currently Al is working on his second short, Good Men of Leicester as part of the Quad Shorts Scheme and in development with ‘Hit & Run’ as part of Digi Shorts.
Al has been selected by EM Media with the project Hit & Run.
Hit and Run is about a young man who is forced to make a life changing decision in a moment of panic. The moment does not pass until he is forced to confront this decision face to face.
