John Phillips
John grew up in South Manchester and from an early age had a keen interest in Film and Television. In 2006 John graduated with a BA in English Literature, during which time he developed and wrote his first screenplay as part of his dissertation and discovered his love for script development.
After uni John travelled round Asia before moving to London to pursue work in the Film and Television industry. He worked briefly as a floor runner and casting runner on a number of BBC productions before becoming an Assistant Editor for The Talent Magazine.
John began working at Kudos Film and TV in 2007 and currently works for the Head of Production. He produced his first short film, Blind Eye in March 2009, working with writer/director Laura Degnan, as part of the UK Film Council’s Digital Shorts scheme. The film starred Liz White. John and Laura are making their follow up film in 2010.
