Emma Curtis graduated from Norwich School of Art & Design in 2001 where she completed a BA (Hons) Graphic Design. It was here that she developed an interest in animation, photography and sound manipulation. Since then, Emma has worked in a variety of production roles for independent Animation, Film & TV companies in Norwich.
 
In 2008 Emma directed and produced the animated short The Reason I Collect. The film has gone on to win an audience award at both the London and Melbourne International Animation Festivals, the Vauxhall Auteur Theory Award Runner up prize at the London Short Film Festival and continues to be shown at festivals worldwide including Edinburgh International Film Festival, Brief Encounters and the WOW festival in Sydney.
 
Whilst making her film she worked as a Researcher, Graphic Designer & Location Sound Recordist for broadcast TV including productions for BBC East, ITV Anglia, Channel 4 and FIVE. She has also gained experience as an Associate Producer/ Animation Director on an animated/ live action pilot for children.
 
Emma has been shortlisted by Screen East as part of the Digital Shorts Scheme.The project is yet to be announced.
