Mehul Desai
In the five years since graduating from university (studying film theory and production) Mehul has written and directed a variety of short films funded and supported by EM Media and the UK Film Council.
His most recent short, Circle, explored the healing power of storytelling a mythology and has been screened at festivals around the world, winning the Silver Remi Award for Dramatic Original at the Houston International Short Film Festival 2008.
In October 2009 Mehul won the Grand Prize at the Page International Screenwriting Awards in Hollywood for his science fiction feature script Progeny. He’s now promoting Progeny along with several other feature scripts to producers and production companies in Los Angeles whilst developing Extermination for Digital Shorts 2010.
Mehul has been shortlisted by EM Media with the project Extermination.
Science fiction drama, two soldiers contemplate the fate of human race as they hide amidst the mayhem of an interplanetary war.
