Ronald J. Wright

Ron spent 14 years as a freelance writer and book reviewer for newspapers and magazines – interviewing many famous authors including Arthur C. Clarke, Anne Rice and John Grisham – before finally pursuing his lifelong ambition, to make films. A graduate of The Northern Film School, he co-wrote feature film Dreams’ Ashes, and his short film The Dogs was nominated for the 2009 Yorkshire Short Film Award. His two most recent short films, Thrall with Liam (Awaydays) Boyle and Letters Home with Nasser (The Kite Runner) Mamerzia, are currently in post-production.
Ronald has been selected by Screen Yorkshire with the project FAWN.
FAWN is a dark, moving drama set on the Yorkshire Moors, in which a young murder victim whose body has never been found recounts the tragic final moments of his life, and wonders why his mother hasn’t come to take him home.
