As we hurtle towards the deadline of Golconda Films' Horror Script Competition on 17 March, which The Script Factory is happy to be partnering, The Times Online is offering an exclusive horror script surgery with expert advice given by our very own Ludo Smolski! After a successful first surgery last week, Dr Smolski will be tackling your online queries live again next Wednesday 8 March - giving you some essential last minute tips for knocking your entry into shape.
With just a few full moons between now and the 17 March closing date, the surgery might be just what you need. Have a look at the previous week's range of questions, and test Ludo and his online partner Bella Coates (Golconda's own Development Exec), with the trickiest challenge you can.
Golconda Films is a new production company with an outstanding slate of projects, to which they are looking to add an equally outstanding horror feature. On the panel of judges will be Ludo himself alongside Gregory Mackenzie from Golconda Films and hot new talent in the form of actor James Darcy (who is starring in the eagerly-anticipated horror flicks An American Haunting and Rise, and has previously starred in The Trench and Exorcist: The Beginning among others).
The comp is free to enter, and has a first prize of an option, with a tidy £1,000 cash advance, while two lucky runners-up receive development from a Script Factory Script Consultant through our very own Draft-to-Draft programme.
