Lena Headley leads a Script Factory cast for the performed reading of Alexander The Great by Neil Hunter & Rupert Jones

The Script Factory can arrange Private Development Readings for use by writers and production companies.

This is a service which might suit the early workshopping of a screenplay idea or a project which is at an advanced stage of development (with some finance in place). Suitable for both feature and short film screenplays, Private Readings can act as a showcase for investors, as a testing ground for casting discussions, or as a tool for fine-tuning scripts before it's too late.

One of our recent Private Readings was the screenplay, Map of the City, written by Paul Godfrey. An engaging drama which follows a young man trying to uncover the secrets of his father’s past, the Reading was commissioned by South West Screen and included a top quality cast including Christopher Eccleston, Kenneth Cranham and Romola Garai. Performed before an intimate but somewhat starry audience including Anthony Minghella, it provided very useful insights for the writer who is currently developing his script.
