BURSARIES

Have a private lunch with Simon Beaufoy - Development Scheme 2011
Script Factory Training is recognised as being valuable by many national media funding partners. This means that it is often possible to obtain bursary support for Script Factory Training from national and regional funding bodies.
For the second time, this Summer, The Script Factory has our own Bursary Support offered to a writer or co-writing team who sign up to our Serious Screenwriting Development Scheme. A one year development programme, a full range of Training Courses, a £1,000 bursary, a guaranteed meeting with Ruby Films, and a lunch with screenwriter Simon Beaufoy are all on offer. Click here to find out more about Serious coming up on 10/11 June.
Bursary information
All of the organisations listed below have provided funds to participants on Script Factory training courses in recent years. However the current film funding uncertainty means that most are reviewing their policies and funds will be reduced - but it is still worth contacting the organisations below just in case...

Skillset – the Media industry training body, previously offered Screen Bursaries towards individuals looking to undertake training. However this is all under review - click here to find out more.
There have been bursaries available from all nine Regional Screen Agencies (RSAs), in recent years - these are the development agencies charged with building vibrant and sustainable media sectors within the English Regions and encouraging public access to film culture. Set up during 2003, and typically bringing together existing regional film bodies, commissions and media development agencies, RSAs are self governing bodies which receive the majority of their funding from the UK Film Council, through the Regional Investment Fund for England (RIFE). However as of 2011, the RSA network is being disbanded and re-imagined under the heading of Creative England. More information on their bursary and other funding priorities will be available shortly.
Former RSA network, some of whom may continue to operate albeit under different constitutional guises are as follows:
