Performed Readings

The Script Factory has been staging Performed Readings since its inception in 1996, when the Company’s rationale was purely to celebrate the art of the screenplay. Over the years we have expanded dramatically to incorporate a huge range of other activity from Training and Events to Development Services, but still occasionally stage Performed Screenplay readings in order to showcase new screenwriting talent.

With a track record that includes Dirty Pretty Things Dirty Pretty Things, from a screenplay by Steve Knight

, Lawless Heart, Party Monster, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Revenger's Tragedy
and numerous others, The Script Factory screenplay readings have been proven to lift a script off the page and turn it into a living feature film.

For each of our Readings a leading Casting Director assembles casts of the highest quality who 'read' the scripts to an audience of both film industry and the general public, for one unique performance only. Following the Readings, audience response forms and informal chats over post-performance drinks enable the writers to gauge audience reaction, while Readings offer the chance to entice potential investors to turn fledgling scripts into feature films.
