Robyn Slovo began her career in the theatre as a writer and producer. In 1994, after time as a freelance reader and script editor for the film industry, Robyn joined the BBC to become the Development Executive for Single Drama - working on over 40 productions which included projects with many of the new and established UK writers and directors.

Following a post as Head of Development for the Sony-funded company, The Bridge, Robyn joined George Faber and Charlie Pattinson at the newly set up Company Pictures - working on projects which include the Shane Meadows films TwentyFourSeven and A Room For Romeo Brass. In 2001 Robyn produced Morvern Callar directed by Lynne Ramsay. In 2002 Robyn became Head of Film at Company Pictures. She has subsequently produced the Philip Noyce feature Catch A Fire, exec-produced Penny Woolcock's Mischief Nights, worked as co-producer (in post) on Working Title's Hippie Hippie Shake, directed by Beeban Kidron, and produced a film for the UNHCR in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, directed by Ben Affleck.
