Robert Bernstein is Company Director/Head of Drama for Ecosse Films, the award-winning company specialising in high-quality drama for both film and television.
Together, Robert (as producer) and Matt (as co-producer or development exec) have been responsible for numerous British features including:
Black Death
Set during the first outbreak of bubonic plague in England, Black Death directed by Chris Smith and starring Sean Bean. (Currently in post production).
Nowhere Boy
Sam Taylor Wood's debut feature following John Lennon's turbulent teenage years, which has been selected to close the 2009 London Film Festival.
Pelican Blood
Karl Golden directs Harry Treadaway in a trangressive and funny love story set in the world of obsessive birdspotters. (Currently in post production).
Brideshead Revisited
Julian Jarrold directs Matthew Goode, Ben Whishaw, Hayley Atwell and Emma Thompson in an adaptation of one of the most important novels of the 20th Century.
The Water Horse
Based on the novel by Dick King-Smith and set in Scotland during the Second World War, where two children find an egg on the beach that hatches and grows up to become the Loch Ness monster. Emily Watson, Ben Chaplin and David Morrissey star.
Becoming Jane
Julian Jarrold directs the true story of Jane Austen's tragic love affair starring Anne Hathaway and James McAvoy.
Wilderness
Michael J. Bassett's thriller starring Sean Pertwee and Toby Kebbell about a group of juvenile delinquents sent to a small British island to fight for survival.
