Ben Pullen
Ben Pullen has over 14 years’ experience in the film industry; firstly as an actor and for the last 3 years as a producer for Sentinel Entertainment Ltd (www.sentinelentertainment.com) a company he set up to exploit new frontiers in Digital production and distribution. He has produced 2 Horror series for mobile phones, the first of which Corpse (www.corpsethemovie.com) went out nationally in the UK on the Zone Mobile WAP site in May this year. It also travelled a varied Festival career in its short film form from the Bahamas International Film Festival (BIFF) to The End of the Pier Festival and Portobello Film Festival in the UK. The second series Walker Stalker (www.walkerstalker.com) will go out on Zone at the end of October and also will be premiered at BIFF in its short film form; it is also under development as a Feature film. Ben has several feature projects in development and in his transformation from actor to producer is keen to learn as much as he can as rapidly as he can, especially in the realms of international co – productions and new opportunities in the rapidly changing Digital landscape. He has participated in the NFTS short course ‘Producing Low Budget Features’ run by Sally Hibbin; ‘Film Financing’ run by Allan Harris at Atlantic Film; the NPA Intensive Producer’s Course run by Anita Lewton and is currently participating in the Digital Horizons strand run by Screen South which brings content producers from the creative digital industries together to explore new opportunities in cross platform digital entertainment. Ben recently attended the Talent Campus at the 2008 Berlinale.

This 10-minute short tells the story of young Charlie Travis and his troubled relationship with his Dad. Released from a young offender’s institute, Charlie is disappointed to find his errant father, Syd, waiting for him outside the gates of the prison. Syd has never been much of a father to Charlie, so why should he begin to care now?
Father and son head off on a road trip together and the reason behind Syd’s repatriation efforts are finally revealed. Set against the stark landscape of the north Kent coast, this is a story about how far you can push someone you love away, before they’re too far to bring back.
