Will Adams
Having studied Philosophy, Will decided the best use of his degree would be to create club visuals. This pursuit led him from Bristol to Glasgow where he became a founding member of video performance group Pointless Creations. At the same time he began work on Scotland’s first fully digital newspaper picture desk alongside Rory Lowe. Merging their freelance work they formed Once Were Farmers and began to produce animation for an extremely diverse range of clients, including Interior Designers and Theatre Producers, whilst breaking into Television and Film. Leading a small team has meant taking on a vast array of roles from writing, designing and animating to directing, producing and accounting. Once Were Farmers has strived to work as collectively as possible, preferring to be credited as a whole team, so this, in effect, will be the first time Will has officially taken on the role of Producer. Last year Once Were Farmers completed their first short, combining live action with animation, and a pilot for a short animated series developed entirely in-house.
Will has been selected onto the Digital Shorts Scheme with the animated project, Jack
A modern, digital take on the classic fairytale ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’, instead of Magic Beans, Jack is given Magic Batteries by a mysterious stranger. Thrown away by his angry mother, Jack's batteries grow into a huge, organic games console. Jack enters the game to take on the consumer Orge in his fairy tale castle. Once a lazy and insecure individual, the trials and tribulations of Jack's magical journey enable him to unlock his hidden talents.
