Steven has been selected onto the Digital Shorts Scheme by Screen West Midlands with the project Momster
Rising high above the clouds is a council skyscraper, where Emily lives with her abusive father. Her only form of joy comes from her larger than life imaginary friend. Momster is a hugely huggable, loveable character that jumps off the page of a magical sketch book and into her reality. Acting as Emily’s new guardian, Momster cooks, cleans, and cares for her, turning her back into the little princess she once was, and giving her the confidence to escape her miserable existence and find solace with her grandma.
A visually stunning tale which infuses beautifully conceived character animation, cinematography and an original take on a hard-hitting subject matter.
