We’re delighted to be offering up a truly diverse range of events during the next month including sessions with some of the biggest hitters representing Hollywood, the best of the Brit industry, the most influential end of the US indie scene and the extraordinary French auteur arena.

Our month starts in partnership with Curzon Cinemas who have arranged events with two very different ends of the industry –
first comes a session with Agnes Jaoui, the true veteran French auteur as director whose long-tem pairing as writer-actor with Jean-Pierre Bacri has resulted in several sparkling collaborations including both Comme Une Image and The Taste of Others. The pair join us on 2 October at London’s Curzon Mayfair.

Just days later, the hugely influential producer Michael Deeley, responsible for some of the biggest cinema events from Blade Runner to The Deerhunter. will join us at the same venue for a lively conversation about his all-star career on 5 October.

The highlight of our year happens every year when we team up with colleagues at the National Film and Television School to present events as part of The Times BFI 52nd London Film Festival. The Festival kicks off on 15 October and if you’re interested in hearing screenwriters in conversation then they don’t really get better than the two we have lined up as our Festival masterclasses. Peter Morgan – the man behind LFF Opening Gala film Frost/Nixon, as well as a string of screenplay hits from The Deal and Last King of Scotland to The Queen joins us on Sunday 19 October
while indie king Charlie Kaufman (Eternal Sunshine..., Adaptation) takes our stage on 29 October for a walk through his extraordinary imagination and to describe his recent foray into direction with the Festival premiere Synecdoche, New York.
