WRITERS' RETREAT IN RURAL FRANCE!
The Script Factory's Writers' Retreat
The Script Factory is delighted to offer a beautiful French Village House, available for use as a private Writers’ Holiday Retreat.
The house is in the Pays de la Loire in a small quiet village, which has one shop and a Bar Tabac. It has been fully renovated to an exceptionally high standard and is thoughtfully furnished for taste and comfort throughout.
Accommodation consists of:
• two double bedrooms each containing a double bed
• bathroom with power shower and bath
• additional toilet
• modern kitchen plus utility room containing a washing machine and dryer
• open plan living/dining space
• large office and games space.
Dining areaOther facilities in the house include a desktop Apple Mac computer, with wireless printer; a TV/DVD player with a large library of films; a CD player with CD’s; an i-pod dock; and table football.
The house has broadband wifi.
The main living space, which contains a relaxing sofa, and a dining area, is heated with a large wood burning fire, in addition to electric heaters in every room.
There is a small, private decked garden with outside furniture. Two bikes are provided for exploring the quiet lanes around the village, and a boules set that can be played at the front of the house or in the nearby church grounds. There is a tennis court in the village for anyone to use.
The perfect place to finish that screenplayThe house is an ideal place to be inspired, to write, to read, to relax - and of course to eat delicious food from the daily local markets or drink wonderful wine from the Loire.
One of two BedroomsThe surrounding countryside is rural with unpopulated fields, wooded areas and quiet country lanes. There are numerous tiny villages nearby each with its own weekly fresh farmers food market and many containing treasure-trove ‘brocantes’. There are several large ‘hypermarkets’ under 10k distance from the house.
Details:
A car is essential. The house is in the village of St Mars sur Colmont. It is 4.5 hours drive from Calais. The Dover/Calais sea crossing takes 1 hour or the Eurotunnel from Folkstone to Calais just 30 minutes. Alternatively the house is just 1 hour 50 mins from Dinard Airport (Ryan Air from Stansted) and competitive car rental is available at Dinard.
The house is available to hire on an all-inclusive weekly basis (to include heat/light/all facilities/linen) from 21 September 2009.
