Ludo is a development consultant, script editor and reader for a variety of companies in the UK. Having begun his career in production working as an assistant for Company Pictures (on A Room For Romeo Brass and The Lakes amongst other titles), Ludo became a script reader for production companies, distributors, film funds, screen agencies as well as for The Script Factory.

Ludo subsequently joined The Script Factory in 2001 as a freelance trainer on Script Reading training courses, and as a consultant on the Writers’ Passage development programmes, before becoming a part-time member of staff contributing to Reading and Development courses. He managed both the Feedback Service (co-ordinating full Feedback/Coverage for over 400 scripts per year) and the Draft-to-Draft programme which provides development meetings for screenwriters. His work with The Script Factory has expanded internationally and he has represented the company training Israeli producers (via the Israel Film Fund), screenwriters in Singapore (via the Media Development Agency of Singapore), at the Berlinale (Talent Campus), Latvian filmmakers (at the National Film Centre in Riga) and as part of the team delivering the MEDIA-funded SCENE insiders programmes in Sweden, Poland and the UK. Ludo also trains film distributors in Script Analysis and Development for The Script Factory’s annual training programme funded by the Film Distributor’s Association, in London.

In 2007 Ludo created and led a Short Film Screenwriting workshop for Signal Films, taking ten participants and their scripts through an intensive two week training and development process. The programme has been recommissioned for 2009. He has also tutored on major short schemes such as Digi Shorts and New Pathways.

Ludo recently script edited Beyond The Pole, a mockumentary feature for Shooting Pictures, now in post-production. He also script edited five projects on the recent Metlab development scheme.

Ludo is currently consulting for a number of independent production companies including Sound Films, working with award-winning shorts and promo director John Williams (Hibernation) on his first feature project, reading for the UKFC Premiere Fund, ScreenEast, Film London and New Zealand Film Commission among other companies in the UK and abroad.
