Ludo Smolski
Not long after graduating from Leeds University as an Ecologist Ludo began his career in film production working as an assistant for Company Pictures (on A Room for Romeo Brass and The Lakes). He became an active industry reader working for over three years for production companies including Momentum Pictures, Little Wing, and Working Title as well as funding and other organisations including the UK Film Council, various regional agencies, and The Script Factory among others.
Ludo joined The Script Factory in 2001 as a freelance trainer on Reading courses and as a consultant on the Writers’ Passage programme, before joining us as a part time member of staff to contribute to our Reading and Development courses, and to manage both the Feedback Service and Draft to Draft devlopment programme. His work with The Script Factory has expanded internationally and he has represented the company training Israeli producers (via the Israel Film Fund), screenwriters in Singapore (via the Media Development Agency of Singapore), at the Berlin Talent Campus, and as part of the team delivering SCENE insiders in Sweden, Poland and across the UK.
Ludo continues to operates independently as a development consultant, script editor and reader for a variety of companies in the UK.
Ludo is also a supporter of Chelsea Football Club (because he needs the money).
