James Eaves
James began writing at the age of 10 and went on to write and direct his first screenplay, Private Investigation in 1993. With further films receiving amateur awards, James wrote Suffer the Children which he subsequently shot on 35mm and had screened at Raindance and Bath Film Festivals in 2000.
He followed this with Trapped (2002) shortlisted for Best Newcomer at the Birmingham Film Festival and Briefcase (2004) which this year broadcast on satellite channel, Information TV as well as previously featuring on the Creative Channel Network and Ideasfactory websites.
In 2004 James joined creative forces with Dan Squier to develop an idea, long-shelved, of an action-adventure set amidst the glamour of 1930s London. With the assistance of The Script Factory’s Writers' Passage scheme, the script, Agents of Change has now been taken through several drafts.
He has also recently completed the script, Torque – a 30-minute real-time thriller and sequel to Briefcase, which he hopes to shoot later this year.
