BRAND NEW - AUTUMN 2010
TRANSMEDIA TRAINING
Surely the only area of the media that's currently growing, the opportunities for creative writers, directors and producers to make 'cross-platform entertainment' seem to be limitless. For filmmakers used to working with traditional formats this can be a daunting arena so we've formed a new partnership with Hide&Seek, a studio of game designers and event organisers, to launch two brand new workshops this Autumn:
INTRODUCTION TO TRANSMEDIA
A day for directors, producers and other film industry professionals looking to understand the increasing opportunities for screen storytelling in a networked world, ranging from on-line game creation to making fictitious facebook pages for your movie characters. Includes how to assess and devise transmedia opportunities for your film; how to find partners; and how to build and deploy transmedia content.

STORIES WITHOUT BORDERS: A practical workshop for writers
Using a series of in-depth case studies to explore how stories can be successfully seeded across different media, giving writers tools to tackle these arenas and a chance to test them out in an exploratory and supportive environment. Perfect for those experienced at writing, but new to writing across platforms.

CURRENT FILM TRAINING COURSES
STORY DESIGN
A brand new two-day screenwriting workshop aimed to help you work an idea for a film into a solid screen story. Storytelling is a talent. However, skilful film storytelling requires more than just natural creativity: screenwriters need to learn how to shape a story into one that can be told over 90 odd minutes, keep an audience rooted to the screen for the duration and ensure that everyone is emotionally engaged with the plight of the characters as the story unfolds. This new 2-day workshop considers the essential elements of designing a story for the screen. Whether you're working at the idea stage or you're in the process of redrafting, this programme aims to help you ensure that your idea is achieving its fullest potential.
