Radio drama producer Sam Hoyle, mid-session
Sam is a Development Consultant and Script Editor across TV, Radio and Film, working widely in both comedy and drama.
She has recently finished working as the Story Editor on the first series of Camelot, a brand new, big budget 10 part mini-series starring Eva Green and Joseph Fiennes commissioned by Chris Albrecht for the ‘Starz’ US cable network. Chris’ previous tenure at HBO produced shows like The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, The Wire, Deadwood, Band of Brothers and Sex in The City.
Sam spent a very happy two years at BBC Radio Drama Dept between 2006 and 2008, where she made many plays that were TX’d on both Radio 4 and Radio 3. One of her achievements was to successfully re-launch the Agatha Christie brand for Radio 4, as well as working with several leading writers and actors including Rory Kinnear, Anna Maxwell Martin, Anna Chancellor, Amelia Bullmore and Bill Nighy. Since leaving the BBC, Sam has continued her radio work as a freelance producer, making drama and comedy for various Radio 4 slots.
Before her time at the BBC, Sam worked in TV Comedy. Credits include kids classic My Parents Are Aliens (Citv), and cult hits, 3 Non-Blondes (BBC2 & BBC2) and nobleandsilver’s Get Off Me (E4). She has also worked widely in theatre and live comedy, spotting and producing early work by Jack Thorne (The Scouting Book For Boys) and producing the Perrier award winning nobelandsilver show at the Edinburgh fringe in 2000.
Previous film roles include Script Development for Little Wing Films and the International Film Collective.
