Deena Lombardi
A graduate of the film schools at UCLA and NYU, Deena Lombardi has directed several short films that have aired on Showtime, NBC, and PBS in America and screened in festivals in the US and internationally. Most recently, she has completed the feature scripts Beautiful Mothers and The Long Silence. Deena lives in Brighton, where she plays bass in the obscure-but-friendly post-rock outfit Sooks.
Deena has been selected onto the Digital Shorts Scheme with the project Off Season
Off Season is a dark comedy about a man who, after losing his wife in a car accident, tries to overcome his amazing ability to attract disaster and simply be a good dad to his young son. Walking along a beach one early morning, the man meets a dog and, while playing, accidentally kills it. Hilarity ensues.
