This Way Up is her first short film.

Sarah has been selected onto the Digital Shorts Scheme with the project This Way Up

This Way Up is the heartbreaking story of a seven-year old boy who posts himself to Heaven in the hope of being reunited with his dead mother. Following Jason as he travels in his cardboard box, with only sandwiches and a GameBoy for comfort, the drama travels back in time to the last day of his life with his Mam. Seen entirely from his child’s eye view, this is both a realistic tale of loss and a metaphysical journey of innocent hope, taking us from a Yorkshire sorting office to ‘Heaven’ itself. Beautiful, honest and funny This Way Up will be a powerful and haunting short film.
