David Johnson
I have been involved in filmmaking for the past 4 years after returning from 10 years travelling abroad. I am based in York and recently graduated from York St Johns University having achieved a distinction in Creative Industries and Technologies. I have previously produced a short film called The Game for Screen Yorkshire.
David has been selected onto the Digital Shorts Scheme by Screen Yorkshire with the project Day In/Day Out
Day In/Day Out is the story of Charlie who has returned home to look after his elderly father who is suffering from dementia. Charlie becomes infatuated with a young Polish woman who works in his local supermarket and sees her as a means of escape from the drudgery of his daily existence with his father. It is a story about the healing power and the destructive nature of love.
