Justine Hart
Justine has headed The Script Factory’s training programme since 2004 with specific responsibility for creating, programming and delivering an extensive range of training initiatives for screenwriters, developers and now for other parts of the film industry. She also oversees the Company’s Development Programme which offers feedback, development consultancy and other initiatives.
In addition to managing the Company’s training activity, Justine also acts as a regular trainer herself teaching several of our most popular courses (Script Reading, The Treatment Room, Genre Season: Romantic Comedy and Screenwriting UK) and undertaking numerous additional international Script Factory engagements, most recently in Adelaide for the South Australian Film Corporation. She has a number of individual Script Editing relationships and is currently working with the novelist Lana Citron to develop her first feature screenplay and writer/director Sue Heel on her second feature film. Justine has also previously been a mentor for the University of Salford’s MA in screenwriting.
She was made a Director of The Script Factory in March 2008.
Justine originally started her career working in TV and Radio marketing before completing a BA in English Lit. at Goldsmiths, as a mature student and changing to a career in script development. Beginning as a Reader, Justine joined the company full time in the summer of 2002.
