Ginita Jimenez
Ginita founded Father Films in late 2005 to produce her first project, String (www.howlongisapieceofstring.net) a 10min super16 drama currently on the festival circuit and about to secure distribution. Since 2006 Ginita has worked as a television producer/director on short & long form environmental and music genre documentaries for national and international TV broadcast. Father Films is in post production with its first short documentary, directed & produced by Ginita, entitled, Naming Pluto about Venetia Burney Phair, the lady who as an 11year old school girl in 1930, named the planet Pluto. Naming Pluto will enter the festival circuit later this year.
Ginita has been selected onto the Digital Shorts Scheme with the project Fishdance
This quirky drama focuses on Molly, a woman with a colourful imagination and a fascination with the Wild West. Whilst our heroine is treading water in the mundane sea of life, pockets of dead time are now filled with nail-biting adventures taken straight out of the classic Spaghetti Westerns of old. Yeeeha.
