I graduated from York St John College in July 2006 completing a degree course in Theatre, Film and Television.
Since graduating I have written and directed five short films.
I have worked on six films funded by Screen Yorkshire in the roles of Camera Operator, Camera Assistant and Lighting Assistant.
Jez has been selected onto the Digital Shorts Scheme by Screen Yorkshire with the project Day In/Day Out
Day In/Day Out explores the destructive nature of love.
Tommy is suffering with dementia. Dick struggles with his father’s illness, resenting Tommy and feeling he is sacrificing his life to look after his dad. He believes Mam’s death is the reason Tommy has withdrawn from life.
Dick meets Anya, a Polish immigrant struggling to adapt to a different culture and menial job. They struggle with the barrier of language, but gain empathy for each other as emotions are universal.
Will Dick find love and hope with Anya, and redemption to love his father for the man he is now?
