Anna Odell
Anna Odell is a motion graphics producer for Glasgow-based designers, ISO, working across the company's broadcast, installation and multi-platform projects. She produced her first animated short, Battenberg (W/D: Stewart Comrie) for Digicult (Scottish Digital Shorts) in 2009. Anna has a first class honours degree in Visual Communication from Chelsea College of Art & Design.
Anna has been shortlisted by Digicult for her project Fall Into Position (working title).
Fall Into Position
In a ramshackle cottage, in the midst of a wild forest live two siblings, Ragdoll Girl and Tin Boy. Boy's day consists of obsessive, inward and seemingly nonsensical activities that sometimes require the participation of Girl but generally not. Girl’s day is spent watching over Boy and keeping him safe as he goes about his activities. Girl longs to be let in and endeavours to find a way. Fall Into Position is a tale of hope, determination and acceptance and is based on the writer Jess Ashman's own experience of growing up with an Autistic brother. This is a stop frame animation with 2d motion graphics.
