Ian’s first film as lead producer, Resurrecting The Street Walker, premiered at the 17th Raindance Film Festival where it was nominated for Best UK Feature. An inventive mockumentary about the discovery of an abandoned horror movie, the film will be released in the UK later this year and is currently screening at festivals around the world.

As Head of Production with Nik Powell’s Scala Productions, Ian’s credits include The Night We Called It A Day starring Dennis Hopper and Melanie Griffith, the UK Film Council-backed One Love and Charles Dance’s directorial debut Ladies in Lavender, which has now grossed over US$30million worldwide and on which Ian was Associate Producer.

A graduate of the Bournemouth Screen Academy, Ian is currently working on an eclectic slate of projects with award-winning filmmakers Kenny Glenaan (Summer, Yasmin), Menhaj Huda (Kidulthood) and Simon Hynd (Senseless).

Ian has been commissioned by Screen South with his project Extraordinary Feats of the Seventh Period.

Extraordinary Feats of the Seventh Period is an entertaining yet poignant story about friendship, persistence and new trainers. Lance (obese but optimistic) and Reuben (angry and smart) are two 12-year-old outsiders in need of a friend who, over the course of a school cross-country race one wet and cold winter morning, come to the realisation that at the very least they have each other.
