Rolant Tomos
Rolant Tomos found himself in front of a film camera aged 9. He was educated in varying degrees at Dolgellau, Bangor, Aberystwyth and Ebeltoft. Since then he has written, directed and produced for television. Is currently development executive at Calon, based in Cardiff.
Rolant has been shortlisted by the Film Agency of Wales for his project Cry Wolf.
Cry Wolf is a story about the moment of truth. Rickman hasn't lived up to expectations, and masks his inadequacies behind bullshit. He is a consummate liar. Unfortunately, everyone can see straight through him. When Rickman finally oversteps the mark at a party, he is forcibly ejected. Whilst crossing a bridge on his lonely walk back home he encounters an extraordinary event. A crew of thrill seeking bridge jumpers are leaping into the abyss below, with only climbing ropes saving them from certain death.
The jumpers throw down the gauntlet.
Can Rickman let go of his old self. This leap into the unknown could make the difference between crossing to the other side, and never facing the truth.
