Leashed is a horror film that aims to challenge its audience and their perceptions of the short film and the horror genre. It is visceral, exciting and horrifying - creating and sustaining a tense mood and situation for the audience as well as the central characters. The aim of Leashed is to create a narrative world that plays and defies audience expectations. What you think you know is unreliable, who you root for and empathise with changes and tropes of the genre are knowingly exploited and diverted in order to create a genuine horror with heart.
