CHRIS BAUGH

Chris Baugh is an award winning Writer/Director based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He likes black comedy and has been making short films since graduating in 2003. Crashing the Wake - featuring desecrated corpses and heavy drinking - was the recipient of Best Short Film and Short Film Script at the IAC Northwest Film Festival 2003. Messages for Maria - which involves at least two instances of serious bodily harm - was screened at the Edinburgh Film Festival 2007 where it was selected as part of the Digital Generations showcase. Most recently he directed Loose Bodies, a mockumentary about a homicidal surgeon. Chris also works in children's television and is currently writing four episodes of Sesame Tree for CBeebies.
Chris has been shortlisted by Northern Ireland Screen with the project Hardy Hands .
Hardy Hands tells the comic story of what happens when schoolyard games infiltrate the lives of two men in their thirties.
