DAVID CORFIELD
David Corfield is an experienced Director and Visual FX Artist with an award winning track record. Utilising over a decade of industry experience and a cross section of technical skills David is able to produce imaginative and innovative visuals for a wide range of projects.
David’s background is in broadcast design and visual effects, creating award-winning content for blue-chip documentaries. His credits include Britain From Above, The Life Of Mammals, The British Isles: A Natural History and The First Emperor. Currently David works as a freelance creative in conjunction with developing short film, drama documentary and animation projects.
David’s achievements include 3 BAFTA nominations, 2 RTS nominations and a Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival award for Best CGI.
David has been shortlisted by South West Screen with the project Up All Night.
As a baby grows, matures and flourishes it’s easy for parents to head in the opposite direction, worn down by exhaustion and stress. Up All Night, follows a year in the life of a young man who is learning to adjust to the responsibilities of becoming a new father. Initially determined to hold on to his previous existence of work, pubs and sleep, Scott is forced to accept that this is no longer possible. Finally however, he learns that life isn’t over after having a baby, it’s just beginning.
Dramatic and gently comedic, the aim of Up All Night is to reveal the, often overlooked, complexities of becoming a father.
