Kim has been commissioned by the UK Film Council with the project Albatross.

Albatross, written by Albright and Clare Macdonald, was first inspired by the performances and life of contemporary classical pianist James Rhodes.

The story soon evolved beyond the simply biographical to an exploration of the aftermath of abuse, the lifelong power of family, and creation as a cathartic power. Like the Albatross of Baudelaire’s poem written over a century ago, the artist must fly; without expression he is grounded, ridiculous, doomed even. Only via his art can the artist make sense of himself and the world around him, and the world of him.
