Casey Raymond
Casey Raymond is an illustrator, filmmaker, photographer, zine maker and musician based in Cardiff, Wales. With close ties to the music industry, his illustrations adorn posters, record covers, magazines and t-shirts across the world, and have been described as 'tasteless and visceral by nature, but always humorous, thought provoking and expertly crafted.' Since November 2008 he has been producing and directing music videos. His first video for the band Truckers of Husk was nominated for a UK music video award in 2009. He runs Club Foot Foot, an extension of his interest in obscure and challenging films and music. CFF puts on regular screenings of experimental film and operates as a distribution label for recordings by 'outsider musicians' as well as his own work. He is a regular contributor to Cardiff's SWN festival, organising film screenings and art workshops.
Casey has been shortlisted by the Film Agency for Wales with the project The Bloggle of LOLster (working title).
The Bloggle of LOLster
Lester is an evangelist who spends his days drawing out disturbing visions of a future of animal like humans on the streets of Cardiff. Lucy, his daughter, tends to his house full of animals and their sick dog Linden. But unknown to them, Lester's visions are of a distant future, when he will be remembered as a messiah and their story will become the gospel of a new religion. A darkly comedic tale about religion and the growing influence of the internet on our society.
