Ian Gilbertson
Ian graduated college with a BA (Honors) Degree in Graphic Design and Illustration. He worked within the multimedia industry creating visual advertisements for both print and the moving image. Ian has had no formal training in script writing but has already had his first feature Red Sleigh Down optioned by NorthEast production company, Ipso Facto Films. Ian is currently developing animated feature The Snow Globe Trotter Chronicles as well as other features. He collaborates with writing partner Stephen Atherton and have written together for a couple of years. As well as writing features, Ian is working with Stephen on short film, Meet Mister Successful, which is in the last 16 of the British Short Screenplay contest.
Ian has been shortlisted by North West Vision & Media with the project House of Scarlet.
House of Scarlet is a psychological thriller about a young woman (Karen) who wakes up in a strange house with no recollection of how she got there. Karen wanders the halls looking for means of escape. Along the way Karen encounters strange people, who may or may not be her captors. When Karen comes face to face with her captor in the shocking climax, she realises that nothing is what is seems.
