News of a new comp from the enterprising new production company RISE films, backed by the agency Casarotto Ramsay & Associates, together with Sight & Sound Magazine. The idea is simple: write a script this summer and then get it made.
RISE films is a new feature film production company headed by Teddy Leifer and Paul Taylor, the team behind the acclaimed recent release We Are Together. RISE has a growing slate of projects in production and development and is now launching this competition designed to bring your film from the page to the screen and give you the opportunity to secure representation from a leading literary agency. The company is interested in reading work whether it’s comedy, action, horror, sci-fi, or thriller. Whatever the big idea you’ve been carrying around without knowing where to put it, this is a good chance to unburden yourself this summer. One script will be selected for development, eventually to be financed and produced.
