Make a movie in 48 hours

How would you like to see your own film shown at London’s Renoir Cinema for an audience of industry movers and shakers? Or how about the possibility of competing at Cannes? Well now’s your chance as the famous 48 Hour Film Challenge hits London this September.
Organisers of the world's largest timed film contest are now looking for filmmakers with drive, originality and a touch of insomnia to take part in a hectic weekend of non-stop lights, camera and action. Teams of filmmakers from all over the London area will compete to see who can make the best short film in only 48 hours. The competition takes place over the weekend of 26 September when Teams will be handed a genre, a prop, a line of dialogue and a character that must appear in the film. All completed films will be on the big screen at Renoir Cinema in Bloomsbury on 30 September and 1 October!

Enterprising filmmakers take on the 48 Hour challengeA winning film will then be selected to compete against other films from around the world at a festival in the US for the title "Best 48 Hour Film of 2008". The top films from that festival have gone on to compete in Cannes.

Audiences wait to see 48 Hour films revealed...There is a bunch of additional awards and prizes, including Avid Media Composer editing software package (retailed at £1822!), various film club memberships, and even a Script Factory Membership which will be awarded to the Best Script.
There is only space for twenty-four teams in this contest – now is the time to get your friends and colleagues together and create your own team, or sign up to join a team as an individual.
