Terence Davies goodies on offer

Terence Davies' Of Time And The City
Wed, 22 Oct 2008
As we head down to BFI Southbank for our London Film Fest events, and prepare to spend much of November there with our BFI-supported Genre Season, the BFI itself has made us a lovely offer to coincide with their release of Terence Davies' extraordinary Of Time and the City.
Screening as part of the Festival and then opening across the country on 31 October, it’s a passionate and poetic film about Liverpool which was one of the sensations of this year’s Cannes Festival.
Terence Davies' Of Time And The CityA heart-stirring meditation on time, memory and mortality, it’s Davies’ first film in almost a decade and marks a spectacular return to the spotlight for the director of the autobiographical classics Distant Voices, Still Lives (1988) and The Long Day Closes (1992). Regarded by many as Britain’s greatest living director, this haunting film has been widely hailed as Davies’ masterpiece.

The Long Day ClosesTo celebrate the release we have a triple bill of DVDs to giveaway to one lucky winner - Distant Voices, Still Lives, The Long Day Closes and The Terence Davies Trilogy – plus copies of the book Distant Voices, Still Lives from the BFI Classics range for 3 runners up.

To win one of these prizes simply tell us where Terence Davies was born. Answers on an email please to info@scriptfactory.co.uk and please put Davies in the subject line. We'll notify the winners on 31 October as the film opens.
Terence Davies’ Of Time and the City will be released in cinemas nationwide on 31 October 2008. For more information on special previews and Q&As, visit www.bfi.org.uk/releases
