FAQ's

I’ve been asked to send in a Treatment – what should it look like?

The usual format for a description of a screenplay is a Treatment. There is no such thing in the UK film industry as a "typical treatment" but it is most often simply described as a prose description of the entire story of the film.

The Script Factory runs a regular course designed to help you write and prepare treatments, which gives you the chance to work on a specific treatment of your own. Click here for more details.

There are also a number of useful sites scattered on the web which explore the art of Treatment writing, and which give sample treatments to inspire you. Particularly good are:

www.writingtreatments.com
and
www.simplyscripts.com
