Eric MacInnes

Eric MacInnes is an award-winning tv reporter who has worked in television journalism for eighteen years. He has also been writing screenplays for film since 1997. Eric was shortlisted for the Orange Screenwriting Prize in 1997 and has just graduated from the West Midlands Writers’ Passage programme.
 
Eric’s screenplay The Lot, developed by the Script Factory, is now being considered by director Shane Davey of DaveyInc as a project for funding. The Lot is a romantic drama set on an allotment exploring issues of community and change in an urban environment.
 
Represented by agents FutermanRose Eric now has a significant portfolio of work covering a wide group of subjects. Ordinary Lives and Crimes is a thriller set in Northern Ireland about a former member of the IRA joining the province’s police force. The Jack is a dark thriller about a battle for the soul of a prestigious public school. Morning Moon is a family drama set against the backdrop of the Zimbabwean Presidential elections 2000.
 
Since Writers' Passage Eric has been working on new projects including a script currently being read by Universal.
 
Eric lives in Birmingham.
