Alex Rose

Screenwriter Alex Rose

Alex has previously written four feature screenplays, one of which, On a Clear Day, was selected as the only British film in the Sundance fiction world section for 2005, subsequently had its UK premiere at Edinburgh 2005, and has been released by ICON internationally. Produced by Sarah Curtis, exec produced by Dorothy Berwin and directed by Gaby Dellal, Alex's On a Clear Day stars Peter Mullan and Brenda Blethyn. He has subsequently been commissioned to write a second fearture for the same production team.
 
Alongside On A Clear Day Alex has also been commissioned by September Films to write the six part drama series Baby Bet and completed the two-part war-time drama, My Friend the Enemy in 2004. Alex has also spent five years working as a reader and script editor. He previously studied illustration at both Chelsea School of Art and St Martins, before discovering the theatre and training at Arts Educational Schools to become an actor. He still works as an actor and is represented by Christina Shepherd Management.
