Development Services at The Script Factory
DEVELOPMENT MEETINGS
For writers who would prefer a face-to-face discussion about a script, we offer the opportunity to book a development meeting with one of the Script Factory Directors or one of the senior members of our development team.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Prior to the meeting the developer will read the script and prepare some feedback on the current draft. However, the meeting will more broadly cover the writer's intentions for this script, their plans for the next draft and their aspirations for the project within the global film industry. The key principle informing our approach to development is that our job is to help the writer tell their story as well as they possibly can. The meeting will last approximately 90 minutes and will hopefully be both creative and challenging. The purpose of the meeting is to help the writer sort out the priorities for the next draft by discussing the sources of the weaknesses in the script and the potential ways forward.
HOW TO ARRANGE A DEVELOPMENT MEETING
Please email your request for a meeting, including your phone number. We will then try to arrange a convenient time to meet within the next 4 weeks.
Once a date is confirmed, please attach your script to an email as a pdf (not word or final draft or any other application).
In the email please include:
Your name
Your address
Your mobile phone number
Your credit or debit card details:
16 digit number, expiry date, security code on the signature strip.
If you would like to send these details separately from your address please do. We delete the information once it is processed.
THE COSTS
Development Meeting £350 + vat = £420
