Charlotte is honoured to be on the judging panel for the 16th edition of Deaffest. This festival champions the talents of emerging and established D/deaf filmmakers and artists from around the globe. Deaffest preserves the importance of Deaf culture and heritage, as well as sign languages, including British Sign Language.

The Script Factory team have been working with The Pitch Film Fund for the past ten years. Open to filmmakers at any stage in their career, this annual adaptation challenge fully funds two short films each year. Plus offers a brilliant package of development support and training for all shortlisted applicants.

In 2024 we collaborated with BFI NETWORK South West to offer a 'Thinking Cinematically' online workshop for theatre writers in the South West of England who are hoping to make the leap into writing for the screen. And we were thrilled to follow-up by taking our Short Film Story Design programme to The Watershed, Bristol in 2025.

Dominic Morgan, aka SCRIPTFELLA (an original member of The Script Factory’s Writers’ Group from way back in the early 2000’s) has worked as a professional screenwriter in Hollywood and London for over two decades. Dominic’s wealth of experience led him to create the brilliant SCRIPTFELLA programme which promises to equip writers with the advanced skills they need to break into Hollywood. We’ve done it and genuinely cannot recommend it highly enough.

We navigated time zones over Autumn 2024 to work with some extremely talented comedy writers in Australia.
